![]() ![]() ![]() and for something running on an External SSD, it's relatively running fast (or, at least when I launch freshly installed CC apps). I'll install 12.3 later (point update), I think 12.3 still has a few bugs since it just got out of Beta.īut, everything's working, Bluetooth, WIFI, Graphics Acceleration, the Keyboard backlight and Display brightness. My other settings (web browser and stuff) will have to wait as a I fully test Monterey with the apps I use. I've already set my iCloud account up, which is the easy part, but I would have to manually install Adobe CC. I'm going to have to test Adobe CC as well as my other apps for design and teaching, by signing into my CC account and installing the necessary apps I use for Graphic Design: AI, PS, ID. Each time, I had to redo the process of installing OCLP and Monterey installer on a USB install drive because it gets screwed up after the failed migrate (which shouldn't have happened if I did not reset the NVRAM/PRAM, but now I know better).Īfter a relatively quick and successful install (because I already know the cycle) I'm not going to attempt to migrate data from my Internal (1TB Kingston A2000) since it's been causing problems somewhat, at least not right now while testing it. I was able to install 12.2.1 last night, twice, but now, the problem is when migrating Data from my internal drive. That's when I know to force a restart in Safe Mode. So I see the drive changing name from "untitled" to "Mac OS Install" to the drive name I assigned. ![]() I also screwed up the OCLP install, as such it restarts back into my hard drive (which also has OCLP) in each stage of the install, so I had to restart and force an EFI boot (sounds ominous, but it's just the Option key startup) each time the install goes through a stage. I've been trying OCLP for the last couple of weekends or so, met with failure at all attempts to get Monterey to install (stuck in startup loop) until I figured out that it was the graphics driver causing the problem. As of this post, I'm currently running Monterey 12.2.1 with OCLP 0.4.3 (Opencore Legacy Patcher) on an external-mounted 2TB Kingston NV1 on my MBP 2014 (11.3). ![]()
